Toby TomTom, is an Artist Songwriter/producer and visual artist from Akron, Ohio now based out of Long Island, New York. He is driven by the lyrical honesty and simplicity of folk music. His song lyrics and melodies are written in his dreams, chorded out on acoustic guitar and, converted into sonic events pulling on his roots in EDM (Electronic Dance Music), Hip-Hop/R&B, Funk, Jazz & Classical music!

Along with his writing/production partner, Toby introduced a 14 year old Alicia Keys to radio, won the ASCAP Abe Olman Award (Most Promising Songwriter - also won by John Legend), had his songs featured in the Off-Broadway play The Obeah Symphony (at The Billie Holiday Theater in Brooklyn), and has been published internationally. He originally attended college on a trumpet scholarship and after moving to New York City for an internship with Epic Records, learned guitar. He sings and plays trumpet, guitar, bass, drums and piano.

Toby is returning to music after taking time off to have a family and develop his talents in the visual arts. Toby's first release, Born 2 Be Free, (composed for his youngest son), is the result of a two year journey from putting his studio together to composing, producing and performing this powerful dance anthem. A one man wall of sound in the tradition of Prince and Stevie Wonder, Toby is ready for his songs to touch the world...movies, commercials, radio...Let's Do It!
